One place that is considered a favorite by many tourists and local San Diego residents and that can't be missed while vacationing in San Diego is the San Diego Zoo.
You can find the San Diego Zoo in Balboa Park. It was opened in 1915 and has been operating ever since. The San Diego Zoo is considered one of the progressively largest zoos in the whole entire world. Why? Well, there are currently over 800 species that make up over 4,000 animals. It's a safe bet to say that you'll probably see some kind of animal at the San Diego Zoo that you probably will never see outside the windows of your fitness Toronto club.
One thing that you'll find at the San Diego Zoo that you might not find anywhere else is the giant panda. Not too many zoos around the world house such a thing of beauty. Other animals you'll see as you walk the grounds of the 107 acre parkland include alligators, iguanas, dung beetles, spiders, butterflies, hyenas, monkeys, and sea lions, just to name a few.
There are just so many species of animals to see that you better not make any other plans for the day, as you'll be too busy having fun at the San Diego Zoo. That means packing a lot of cloth diapers for your babies because you don't want to have to leave to buy some.
The San Diego Zoo also puts on a wide range of events and exhibits throughout the year such as the meerkat exhibit or spring art camp. That means there's always something to do at the San Diego Zoo. You'll even learn something that you didn't know before. Don't worry though, this type of learning is much more fun than the type of learning in your English course. We're sure you'll have a great time at the San Diego Zoo! |
